Triathlons are definitely something that can be seen as quite daunting to the ‘average Joe’ and this is where Triathlon-Retreats come in. For all levels of entry; spend 2, 3 or 4 days in the idyllic setting of Deighton Lodge and remove yourself from all complications to concentrate 100% on Triathlons. With a stunning Limestone lake just on our doorstep and many beautiful country walks and scenic routes in the beautiful North Yorkshire surroundings, come and work on your technique with a group of like-minded individuals with very similar desires. All classes, nutrition and excersions are fully planned and taken care of covering all 3 disciplines with additional advice and support on the 4th discipline; NUTRITION - all you need to do is turn up!
Our triathlon training camp is nestled in the beautiful scenic and tranquil environment of York which is home to the iconic ‘solar system’ path which runs nearby Deighton Lodge, offering a 12km measured running trail on a disused rail track. Our bike rides expose you to some of the Tour de Yorkshire race routes as well as some fantastic country scenery of North Yorkshire. There may even be an opportunity to test out swimming in the sea, duck diving and embracing the ripples (for this all technical kit will be provided) if the water isnt too cold. However, sea or pool, you will get a personalised video analysis and one to one consultation to give you action points that you can develop and take away with you. Am I suitable?
- A complete novice will gain the confidence that they can take part in a triathlon without feeling intimidated and out of their comfort zone and instead can concentrate on performance and finishing.
- An intermediate competitor will relish the chance to pick up top tips, to save seconds by practising new drills, learn new skills and utilise the weekend to train hard and improve fitness.
- A seasoned triathlete will relish the opportunity to train and focus for a full week and pick up some extra tips.
